Well, we're at it again with the fourth annual Equity Members Project Code showcase.

We open on Thursday, August 2nd and run for three weeks(!!!), through Sun., August 19th.

A national initiative called LINC (Leveraging Investments in Creativity) with funding from large national and local foundations has chosen Kansas City as a test site for strategies to help artists - artists of ALL disciplines - writers/actors/musicians/dancers/ film/video/visual artists in the KC Metro area.

Sundance filmmaker seeking African-American actors ages 6 to 90 for low-budget short film to be shot the weekend of August 18th in Kansas City. Casting many roles, speaking and non-speaking, no previous acting experience necessary.

Casting session will be held at the Westport Library (118 Westport Rd.) in the second-floor meeting room from 12-4 PM on Saturday, August 4th.

We are in need of extras on Saturday July 7th.

We will be shooting a rather long scene in which we will need background
performers. The call is 1030AM at Kill Creek Park in Olathe. The address
is 11670 Homestead Lane, in Olathe Kansas

The film is called The Devil is an Ass. It is an adaptation of the early
17th century play by Shakespeare contemporary Ben Jonson. It is set in
modern day, but with a slightly earlier feel. If you choose to participate
copy will be provided upon completion. A handful of background performers
will be featured and will receive screen credit. Please wear casual

CASTING CALL!!! Audition tomorrow!!! (Read all about it!!)
Body: Hey gang! I just got an EXTREMELY last minute gig, casting a commercial and radio ad for "BUY A BOOK, BUILD A FOREST," promoting the fact that when college students buy USED books, a portion of the book cost will be donated to planting trees. It will be shot for two days next week, and it is a paying gig.

***** The audition for this spot will be tomorrow afternoon (July 5th)!!! ******

For tomorrow's audition, we're seeing guys and girls of all ethnicities who are between 17 - 24 years old. It is not necessary that you have any kind of acting experience, and we need all types of personalities. We're casting SEVERAL "college students" in the commercial, so if you have friends and family who fit the criteria that you'd like to drag to the audition with you, I say the more, the merrier!

Full Frontal Comedy is seeking funny people with on-stage
theater experience for it's fall 2007 season.

Auditions will be held for Full Frontal Comedy's upcoming
season of shows. Full Frontal Comedy performs short-form
improvisational games, long-form, musical games, musical
parodies, and scripted comedy sketches.

Some theater experience is required. Improv experience is
preferred, but not required. Knowledge of pop culture and
current events is a plus.
