SYNOPSIS:
Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love Helena but now loves Hermia. When Hermia's father seeks to force her to marry Demetrius, against her will, or face death, in accordance with the law, the lovers run away in to the forest. What should be a simple getaway is impeded by the intercession of Faeries, who are having relationship problems of their own. Through trickery, some magic and beautiful language the faeries repair the damaged lovers and their own relationship. In this "tragically funny" play, Shakespeare masterfully explores the length to which we will go for that perfect love and reminds us "the course of true love never did run smooth."

The movie is titled Aegis (pronounced: ee-jis). It is an original screenplay. The finished film will be entered in film festivals. Actors will receive film credit, provided meals while on set and copy of finished film.

Aegis is a Gothic tale of redemption and freedom from oppression.
Unwittingly caught up in the struggle between good and evil while mourning the loss of her late husband, a single mother finds closure in the least likely of forms.
