Got this from Ernie today. This is the production I've acted in -- last year -- and I've directed in -- several years ago. It's a great way to work with a cross range of actors and directors. It's also well attended. Make sure you have a solid theatre audition ready for this one.
Andy
PS -- you don't have to be Equity to be in this show.

This super-talented actress has come back to class after being out for awhile. It's really a pleasure to see her work and where she's taken it. Always a terrific commercial and comedic talent, we're getting to see her depth in more serious roles. AG
Got this from Angie this morning. AG
Hi, all! Sorry for the blank e-mail, but I didn't want one of those e-mails where the addresses were longer than the message. Some of you know me personally, some of you only know me through KC Stage or when I was with the Platte County Arts Council. Some of you may not know me at all.
I am getting ready to direct William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors for the Alcott Arts Center's fundraiser, Shakespeare in the Parking Lot III. This production is going to be campy ... EXTREMELY campy. We're talking over-the-top, let's all have fun with Shakespeare, 'pitch your tent and bring your coolers - we're in a parking lot, for Shakespeare's sake' campy. In other words, everyone is required to have fun during the production of this show. (If this tells you anything, the ring that the courtesan is wanting back from Antipholus will be a giant ring pop.)
The Mystery Train will hold auditions for its summer production, "Drawn to Murder", on Sunday, May 24 from 1 to 5 pm; and on Monday, May 25 from 5 to 9 pm, by appointment only.
Seeking three actors to portray cartoon characters in an interactive murder mystery set in 1921 Kansas City. Show opens June 26 and runs through Aug 22, with performances on Thurs, Fri, and Sat evenings. There is performance pay. For more information, or to set an appointment, please call 816-813-9654.

The call has gone out for additional actors & actresses, all ages, looks, temperament, gender, etc., to fill many of the smaller roles for this musical. As it now stands, many of the cast members are handing 4 - 6 small roles. The director, Nino Casisi, would like to have additional performers to fill in some of these roles, as well as to fill out the ensembles for several of the bigger musical numbers. There will be singing and dancing, but if I can bluff my way through (as I did in last year's "Anything Goes") then anyone can do it. The musical director is very patient and the choreographer is a hoot to work with.
