Olathe Community Theatre Association (OCTA) announces auditions for DOUBT: A PARABLE Saturday, December 5, 2009.
DOUBT: A PARABLE
Written by John Patrick Shanley
Directed by Darren Sextro
A 2005 Pulitzer Prize Winner for Drama, Doubt: A Parable tells the story of Sister
Aloysius, a conservative nun and principal of St Nicholas Church School in the Bronx
in 1964. She begins to suspect that a parish priest, Father Flynn, is having an
inappropriate relationship with an African-American male student. She shares her concerns with a young idealistic nun, Sister James, who is troubled by the accusations. What ensues is a masterful battle of wills between nun and priest. One woman's monumental certainty shines as harshly as a naked light bulb amid the shadows - New York Times
