It's that time again -- I had such a great time directing a piece for this program a couple years ago... AG

Kansas City members of Actors’ Equity Association, the
national union of professional Actors and Stage
Managers in the United States, announce auditions for
the fourth annual Equity showcase!

As in years past, the showcase will consist of an
evening of short plays. The six pieces selected for
presentation this time around will be directed by
Robert Foulk, Ernest Williams, Michael Smith, William
Christy, Cynthia Hyer and Scott Cordes. In addition,
the world premiere of new works will be presented by
Kansas City playwrights Frank Higgins, Cynthia Hyer
and Ron Simonian.

Open auditions will take place on Sunday, June 3rd,
2007. The auditions will begin at 6:00 p.m., with
slots available until 9:30 p.m. Those interested in
auditioning should prepare two contemporary &
contrasting monologues, not to exceed four minutes in
combined length. Each person auditioning should bring
along six headshots and resumes.

Call-backs will take place on Monday, June 4th,
beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Both sessions will be held at Avila University’s
Goppert Theatre, #11901 Wornall Rd. (just south of
Miner Street, on the east side of Wornall).

The showcase will open on Thursday, August 2nd and
perform Thursday through Sunday evenings, closing on
August 19th.
