KCYA is one of the best opportunities in Kansas City for working actors to continue as working actors. I've known a lot of professionals in town that have contributed a lot through this program. AG
It is that time of year again when we solicit
your ideas and talents for Kansas City Young
Audiences roster of In-school programming.
Below is the procedure for downloading the
application:
Go to www.kcya.org [1] and find the Call
for Teaching Artists information on our home
page. Click the apply now hyperlink. This
will take you to a webpage where you can
download the 2008-2009 YA Program Application
Word document.
In addition to instructions and hints to
make your application stronger, there is a
sample application form to assist you, sample
catalog descriptions, and a copy of the criteria
the panel members use to rate your application.
You may also submit your application for
preview, if you wish to receive feedback before
final submission. The preview deadline is
November 1, 2007.
While we give full consideration to all
programs submitted, we are looking to create a
more diverse roster of artists and are in
particular need of literature or literacy themed
programs, visual arts workshops, and programs
for pre-school and early education children.
This application is only for those new
to the roster and KCYA artists who wish to
submit new programs for the roster. If you have
a program currently on the roster, you DO NOT
need to resubmit that program.
If you do not have access to the
Internet, you can request an application be
mailed to you. Please call or write as soon as
possible to have one sent.
All applications for new programs must
be postmarked by Friday, November 16, 2007.
Please dont hesitate to call or email
if you have any questions.
Feel free to forward this information to a
friend.
