Actors' Equity Association Fifth Annual Showcase
For the fifth consecutive summer, Kansas City members of Actors' Equity Association, the national union of professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States, presents an evening of short plays.
This year we're proud to present six world premieres, five by Kansas City playwrights:
THE STING OF LOVE, by Ron Simonian (featuring Scott Cordes*, Tom Moriarty*, Dean Vivian*, Pete Weber and Sarah C. Nickerson). Directed by Ron Simonian.
I DON"T THINK WE'RE IN KANSAS ANYMORE, by Frank Higgins (featuring Martin English*, Cynthia Hyer*, Nathanael Card and Teresa Spoon). Directed by Paul Burns.
THUNDERMAN AND KNOCKOUT GIRL, by Sean Grennan [from N.Y.C.], (featuring Martin English*, John-Michael Zeurlein*, Andy Perkins, Rachael Redler and Lauren Lubow). Directed by William J. Christie*.
THE COVE, by Catherine Browder (featuring Peggy Friesen* and Andy Garrison). Directed by Michael Smith*.
HEAT OF THE MOMENT, by Rosemarie Woods (featuring Jeannie Averill*, Andi Meyer* and Vi Tran). Directed by Ron Schaeffer*.
THE DOCENT, by Cynthia Hyer* (featuring Robert Foulk*, Barbara Houston*, Daniel Hillaker, Tanya Barber, Tom Sawyer and Allan Hazlett). Directed by Katie Gilchrist Langley*.

Curtain time for all performances will be 7:30 p.m. [with the exception of our closing performance, Sunday, August 17, which will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee performance.]
There is a suggested donation of $12.00 per person.
There is limited seating, and reserved seating is not available. Last year, nine out of 12 performances sold out "S.R.O.", so please come early!
Performances will take place in Studio 116, in the performing arts center on the campus of UMKC. The address is the same as that of the Kansas City Repertory Theatre: #4949 Cherry Street, K.C., MO 64110 (in case folks want to Mapquest it). Studio 116 is located on the first (bottom) floor of the performing arts center.
There is free, secured parking right next to the performance space.
