Talent Agencies

For those of you who may not subscribe to the KC-Stage discussion list, there's been an interesting thread recently about talent agencies, especially those which offer training and actually require you to sign up for their classes (usually quite expensive, too) before they will represent you. The bottom line is, if you don't have an agent yet and are thinking about it, be careful. My best advice is to talk to Andy first. He knows the local scene better than anyone you'll come across, I'm willing to bet. One of the true measures of the success of ATS in this community, I think, is the number of ATS students who are now represented by one of the top agencies in town.
